Spooky month is here and that mean Fortnitemares has begun. Horde Rush is back in Fortnite and as crazy as ever. This epic game mode is full of relentless Cube Monsters and a massive final battle with a giant boss. It can be pretty full-on so we are here with a guide on how to play this amazing LTM and beat Horde Rush in Fortnite!
How to Beat Fortnite Horde Rush: Hints & Tips
Horde Rush is available as an LTM found in the Discover menu. Once you have found it, make sure you bring a squad, or have the FILL option on as this is definitely a team battle! The game will launch and send you out in the Battle Bus where you should drop as soon as you can. Get to land and find as many chests and ammo boxes to open as possible. Beating this game relies heavily on grabbing ammo when ever you can. Don’t worry too much about picking up healing items because you automatically heal after each round. Chug Splashes are best used during the final round if you get into serious trouble.
Saying this, it is also important to utilize your Augments as best you can. I normally choose every ammo-boosting augment I can, and at least one mobility Augment, particularly Soaring Spirits. This ensures you can sprint and jump high away from monsters surrounding you.

The first round starts 150 seconds later, hopefully after you gather every weapon and any ammo you can see. Large purple Cube Monster Spawners pop up, spawning monsters regularly. Fight for your life, picking up more ammo and occasionally swapping out for better weapons as you go. Try to destroy the spawners for a chance to get another chest, and to stop more monsters spawning.
That round ends and you have time to breathe and upgrade weapons by spending purple cubes at the weapon bench. Next the storm circle will begin to travel to another location, try to stay in the safe zone as much as possible, killing Cube Monsters as you go. It is possible to go into the storm if you need to pick up better weapons dropped by monsters, as it only deals a -1HP per tick.
You will arrive at another named location and get to loot for 60 seconds before the next round starts. This time loot quality is better and the cube monsters are stronger, including a Cube Assassin who will drop great loot when eliminated. You will all have to survive for 180 seconds before the round ends and you get to loot up again. Once again the storm will start moving and you will have to travel to another named location while trying to survive. The storm now does a -2HP per tick.
The final round begins in the new named location, this time you must face Mega Brutes, all kinds of Cube Monsters, and The Caretaker. The Caretaker is a huge boss monster who can smash the ground to send you flying (and damage your HP) and when he crouches he sends a devastating purple beam to kill anything in its path. The area where his beam appears is his weak spot. Focus all your damage at the spot at his chest and get increased damage hits.
The key to winning this final round is to keep moving and watch your back. You can build for protection but both monsters and the Caretaker will try to knock them down. You should try to eliminate Cube Monsters but your main focus will be the Caretaker. If your team works well together then the final round should be ultimately achievable. Good luck!
