Fortnite has managed to become a worldwide phenomenon in a very short amount of time, and its release on mobile platforms only made the game even more popular. Battle Royale on the go was definitely a dream for many.
And if you have any friend playing the Epic Games’ developed title on PlayStation 4, you will be able to play with them soon.
Today, a Fortnite PlayStation 4 cross-platform open beta has been launched worldwide, with Sony using the testing phase to see how it plays out. Cross-platform play will also be enabled for other, select third-party titles.
Minecraft may be out of the question, sadly, as it requires an Xbox login, but one can always dream that the game will bring every console and hardware manufacturer together.
Back in July, a major addition has come to Fortnite thanks to patch 4.5, Playground Mode. In this mode, 4 players are dropped into an empty island and have free resources to build anything they want. The patch also added more camera tools, emotes, and scene tools to record some very cinematic footage.
