Match the special pieces!
As always, Candy Crush Friends Saga is all about getting the special pieces as fast as you can. The more special pieces you create, the faster you can clear the board efficiently, and we all know efficiency is the name of the game.
Four-pieces, T-pieces, square-pieces – always try to be looking out for possible combinations, especially now more than ever because every level requires you to free a certain amount of animals!
Remember that you can also combine special pieces for devastating effects, and you will even be required to pull off these maneuvers to pass certain stages!
Utilize your friend’s ability!
Every level you’re paired up with a friend! Candy Crush Friends Saga’s friends consists of a variety of colorful characters, one of them even being a yeti! The most important thing though is that each friend has a special ability that must be charged by matching the correct type of candy. Once charged, the friend ability will activate automatically.
For example, Tiffi, the first friend you meet, will place three fish special pieces on the board after you match 10 red candies. Friend abilities are extremely helpful and because they’re relatively easy to activate, you should always try to be matching towards them as much as possible.
Most levels you will be automatically assigned a friend, but certain levels let you choose between them. It’s your choice, but the game will recommend certain friends depending on the level. It’s usually best to go with the recommended friend, but choose the friend you’re comfortable with!
Free the animals!
In most levels, your main objective is to free the gummy animals trapped behind the ice. Do note that the animals come in different shapes and sizes, and after breaking some ice, you can probably get a good idea of where the rest of the animal is. You do NOT need to destroy all ice/obstacles on the board to pass the level, you just need to free the animals, so try to use your moves wisely.
Conserve your moves!
As usual, conserving your moves is the best way to get a big burst of points near the end of the level. For every move you have left at the end of the level, random special pieces will spawn on the board, boosting your score up to the get that coveted third star! Play smart, use your moves wisely, and don’t just match the first things you see.
Collect the presents!
Sometimes you will see a present spawn somewhere on a random piece of candy. Match these immediately – they are the key to getting new stickers, which unlocks new power ups and friends for you to use. Presents have random amount of stickers in them, so try to go for them whenever you see them.
