Prey Day: Survival is very similar to games like Last Day on Earth, so if you have experience in that game you will know what to do here. Let’s get started with our Prey Day: Survival cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Take the three gathering tools with you on resource runs!

There will be times where you will run completely out of wooden scraps, metal scraps, and stone. You know what that means – grab your axe, crowbar, and sledgehammer and get to resource running. An outdoors area is preferable, as roadblocks and city areas usually don’t have too many natural resources lying around.

When you’re out on a resource run, it helps to stay focused. You will probably come across a lot of goodies, but early on you won’t be able to carry that much, so really decide on what you need. The more resources you bring back, the less times you will have to go on resource runs.

Go to events as soon as they pop up!

Events will randomly occur throughout the day. If you exit to the world map and you get a notification how something is happen nearby, be sure to visit as soon as possible! You might overhear a loud ruckus, which could indicate another survivor camp. These camps often have lots of good gear, but they only stay visible on the map for an hour.

But don’t just rush in though! An important thing to keep in mind is that these event locations are not persistent. That means that once you leave the area upon entering it for the first time, it will disappear off the map regardless of how much time is left on the event timer. Before you head into one of these spaces, go back home and make as much inventory space as you can.

Sneak up on your enemies!

If you tap the button at the very bottom right corner of the screen, your character will crouch down. You move slower and much quieter in this position, and you can sneak up on enemies.

If you approach enemies from behind like this and attack, you will get a sneak attack bonus which doubles the power of your first hit. A weapon that normally hits for 50 damage will cause 100 damage! This tactic is crucial for keeping your armor in good condition, as it lessens the amount of hits you have to take.

Make sure to have backup weapons and armor!

Armor is very, very important in this game! With even just one piece of armor missing from one of your slots, you will take increased damage. Be sure to always have armor on, and check the status of your currently equipped armor. If one of your pieces is about to break, it might be better to just replace it with new armor.

Also, it’s always good to have a backup weapon on you in case your current one breaks. Always, always keep an eye on your weapon durability (the ring around your weapon icon at the bottom right) because you don’t want it snapping in half during a heated battle!

Craft the essentials!

During the tutorial, you will learn of the essentials for your home: crafting benches, food and water generation, and storage boxes. Storage boxes are especially useful as you will run out of inventory space very quickly early on.

Make sure that you’ve repaired your walls and built up a good home with your storage boxes inside. They might be raided if they’re sitting outside in plain sight!

That’s all for Prey Day: Survival. If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
