CD Projekt Red is known as the developer of The Witcher series. The third entry in the series is the latest released on PC and consoles, but the Polish developer branched out and released a very interesting spin-off called GWENT The Witcher Card Game, which expands on the simple card mini-game that was introduced in The Witcher 3. After a long beta testing phase, the game was officially released on PC and consoles late last year, and it will finally be making its way onto mobile devices soon.

CDPR confirmed in today’s 2018 Financial Year report that GWENT The Witcher Card Game will be released on iOS this Fall, with an Android release coming at a later time.

Needless to say, this is going to be huge for the game. GWENT The Witcher Card Game has been struggling a bit on PC and consoles, as the mobile format is definitely more suited for a card game.

GWENT The Witcher Card Game sees players assemble decks belonging to different factions, such as the Northern Realms, Nilfgaard and so on. Each card represents a character from The Witcher universe and comes with special abilities that can change the course of the battle. The game originally released with a three rows systems, but since release, it’s possible to place any of the cards on any of the two rows.

GWENT The Witcher Card Game launches on iOS later this year. The game is also available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
