If you are a fan of the amazing Harry Potter series and also have some experience playing Pokemon GO, then how about combining the two? Well, that’s exactly what this game is! You are basically a wizard and out in the Muggle world there have been released tons of Foundables.

You will have to keep the world safe by defeating them, so if you want to learn all the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite tips and tricks to do just that, then let’s not waste another second and do just that!

It’s time to go out there and discover!

The game, much like in Pokemon GO, will rely on you walking around and discovering various locations and collectibles. The collectibles can be anything pretty much, and they can belong to various types.

You can discover them by walking in the pointed direction, usually in the marked areas on your map. You will often see various special areas around your location, and they are usually at the more important actual locations.

If you find yourself around one of those “important” locations, make sure you keep your game running because the encounters might be much more common!

Also, since the encounters are pretty random, you need to keep an eye out for them at all times! However, make sure you keep an eye out on the road ahead of you as well!

Pay attention to the flags!

Another trick to help you discover the Foundables much easier to pay attention to the flags. When you tap on a flag it will pop up a window which will say the kind of stuff you can discover there.

It will also mark an area where the flag basically takes effect, and if you happen to find yourself in that area, make sure you explore it thoroughly. However, keep in mind that encounters can happen everywhere, not only in the marked areas! The marked areas have these encounters especially often.

Customize your profile

One of the things that I find very important in this game, along with discovering the Foundables of course, is customizing your own wizard profile. If you have been a fan of the series, then you will want to create your very own Magic Wand, your avatar, and of course, select your house!

You can customize your default profile by tapping on the button in the bottom left corner, and there you will basically see your Ministry ID. You can choose anything you want to customize, but if you want to choose a Profession, you will have to wait until you reach level 6.

I suggest that you start off by creating your Wand, choosing a House, and making a very dope wizard portrait! All of the information you put on here can be changed at any given time, so don’t worry if you decide you want to belong to the Ravenclaw house later on! (the house you choose changes the color of your avatar in the map interface)

If it starts raining, check the game!

As odd as that sounds, the actual weather conditions will affect the Foundables (and Confoundables) you can discover. Whether it’s day or night, hot or cold, raining or snowing, it will change the types of encounters you can run into, so make sure you check your forecast daily!

Complete your assignments

Once you reach level 2, you will unlock the Assignments, which will give you tons of new rewards for completing various tasks. You should always try to complete all the Daily Assignments every day, because you will get new ones every day, so all the rewards will be more than welcome!

You can also find here, in the Daily Assignments tab -> Daily Treasure, which gives you one of the listed items corresponding with the day that you logged in to the game. You will receive this simply for logging in to the game, so make sure you don’t forget to collect it!

While we are here, don’t forget to check out he Achievements list, because there you will see a list of multiple tasks which you can complete (not in a day or two, but while you are playing in general). Check these out, because they have various requests, and some of them are super easy to complete! (such as making a friend)

How to refill / get more energy in Wizards Unite

All the spells that you cast will take up energy, so if you are in a very crowded area, let’s say downtown, you will find quite a lot of inns around you! The Inns are the little buildings that look like houses, with a blue rooftop.

When you visit the Inns you can pick one of the 5 random dishes placed in front of you! From these, you can get anything between 1 to 6 energy, so good luck picking the right one! (either way, you can’t go wrong – you still get energy)

The cooldown for visiting the Inns is about 5 minutes, so if you want to check out multiple Inns on the map, you can see that the ones which are still on cooldown will have smoke coming out of the chimney. The ones which you can visit and claim food, don’t have this. This should help you by just looking at them, without having to tap on them.

There are other ways that you can get Energy – here’s all of them:

– You can get Energy from Greenhouses, which have the actual greenhouse icon on the map, and there you will have to pick pots of plants!

– You can level up to restore Energy

– You can complete Daily Assignments

– You can collect Daily Treasure

– You can buy Energy from the Shop, by opening your Suitcase -> top right corner, open the shop window “Diagon Alley” -> go to Wiseacres, and there you can pay 100 Gold to buy 50 Energy, but it’s not recommended, since Gold is pretty scarce unless you pay for it with real bucks.

Add more friends!

Remember how I told you that you should customize your wizard profile? Well, if you haven’t done it it’s about time you do, because once you start adding friends they will not want to have a very basic wizard friend I believe.

You can add friends by opening the Social button on top of your profile, and they will come in handy by giving plenty of social benefits! They will be able to accompany you in various challenges together, and increase the XP you get.

You can add friends by tapping on the “Add Friend” button and typing in their Friend Code. The code will consist of 12 numbers, you can either share your code with others (via social media), or add it manually (or by copy + pasting it).

If you want to make more friends, feel free to share your Friend Code right here in the comments below!

Also, if you don’t like your current code or don’t want people to find you with that code anymore, you can generate a new one by tapping on the refresh button right next to your code. You won’t be able to receive invitations on your old code then, but the friends that you already have will still be in your friends list.

A few more Harry Potter: Wizards Unite tips and tricks:

– If you see smaller stuff scattered on the ground, don’t shy away from picking them up! They will definitely come in handy!

– Unlock all the Portkey boxes you find! You will already have several keys at the beginning, and if you need more you can get from the Diagon Alley!

– When you are casting spells, make sure you start from the shiny end to the end which has an arrow head – not the other way around!

– If you are having tough times dealing with various Foundables and Confoundables, you can craft and use various types of potions to help you with this. You can check your Vault -> Ingredients to see what stuff you currently have!

– If you are currently at work and / or are unable to move too much around in search for various discoveries, you can just keep your device still and, even if it will take some time, there will be some Foundables coming your way – just not very often!

I have been playing games ever since I can remember. Other than games, I am also passionate about design, and working on my very own pixel game in my free time.
