The excellent roguelite Dead Cells, developed by Motion Twin, has been announced a while back for iOS and Android. The iOS release was supposed to launch this month, but it seems like the development team needs more time to make the game as good as possible.
The Dead Cells App Store page now lists the game with an August 28th release date, which is more than a month later than expected. No reason has been given for the delay, so we exactly don’t know what happened. The game has been undergoing beta testing for a while, so it’s likely that some critical issue has been discovered and must be fixed before release.
The mobile release of Dead Cells features some tweaks that will make it smooth to play with touch screen controls, such as a revamped interface and the ability to change the touch screen controls. Full controller support for both the iOS and Android versions will also be in to make the experience feel as close as possible to the PC and consoles one.
Dead Cells releases on iOS on August 28th, with an Android release to follow later on. The game is also available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
