If you wondered what are some of the best endless runner games for mobile, then you’ve come to the right place! In today’s article we are going to share with you a list of the best ones that you can play on Android and iOS powered devices this year.
While endless running games have lost a bit of popularity in the years that passed since the major hit in the genre – Temple Run – was launched, they are still really fun and enjoyable, with some expanding the genre with new features and awesome stuff.
We also have both side scrolling endless runner games, as well as third person endless runners, so that you can find your next favorite(s) and smash those high scores!
So, without further ado, here is our list of the best endless runner games for mobile in 2020!
Jetpack Joyride
This is a game that I’ve had installed for years and I’m still not bored with it. It’s a game which has missions, all kinds of fun machines and jetpacks, and it’s generally easy to play and get used to.
You don’t really have to stress too much over the game, and even if you die early on it can still be viable because all of the Coins that you collect will add up and let you save for new Jetpacks and costumes! Really fun and highly recommended!
You can download Jetpack Joyride from the App Store and Google Play!
Alto’s Adventure
This beautiful game will definitely keep you busy, because not only it has amazing graphics, but its mechanics are simple, minimal and let you experience a joy (and sometimes a thrill) whenever you jump over the beautiful mountains, abyss, while watching sunsets and much more.
If you want a relaxing game where you can enjoy the views and the game’s overall experience, then this is the one that will be great for that!
You can download Alto’s Adventure from the App Store and Google Play!
Alto’s Odyssey
This is just like the previously mentioned Alto’s Adventure, except with much more beautiful scenery and views. I would recommend trying out both of them, because they will not leave you disappointed.
You can download Alto’s Odyssey from the App Store and Google Play.
Angry Gran Run
This game has a fun concept that revolves around a cute looking granny who’s been locked into the asylum, and now is trying to escape. Who ever said that retired people have a boring life?
Either way, it’s a fun little classical endless running game, and it is definitely going to bring a smile to your face, with its amazing characters and colorful graphics.
You can download Angry Gran Run from Google Play and App Store.
Canabalt
This game is very minimalistic in terms of visuals and will take you back to the old times when games used to have 1-2 colors and a very limited range of motions.
It’s fun, classic, simple and if you are looking for a game that doesn’t bombard you with tons of features and missions and whatnot, this is the one.
You can download Canabalt from Google Play and App Store.
Lara Croft: Relic Run
I don’t think there has been a game featuring Lara Croft (including in all the Tomb Raider series) that I have not played. Ever since I could get my hands on a computer and run Tomb Raider (which, when you check now would look more like Minecraft than anything else) I always played every single game.
This one was no exception. It’s a very good game, and if you like both Lara and endless runner games, you’ll fall in love with this one instantly. The game has beautiful graphics, easy controls and a great atmosphere!
You can download Lara Croft: Relic Run from the App Store and Google Play!
Zombie Run 2
In this game you will be able to play as a zombie of your choice and run all throughout the maze, while being careful not to take a wrong turn or a fall into a trap.
The game is amazing, much like Zombie Run (the first), but I think this one is a little better! Because playing the bad guy or the monster is definitely fun every now and then.
You can download Zombie Run 2 from the App Store and Google Play!
Agent Dash
A pretty simple and fun game, the classical endless runner game which will keep you busy constantly, watching your left and right in order to avoid any potential danger!
It’s great for kids in my opinion, as it doesn’t have too many complicated options and features, so the main focus would be the gameplay. The graphics are amazing too, very colorful and catchy, while the constant updates make it even better!
You can download Agent Dash from the App Store and Google Play!
Into the Dead 2
Now for the fans of horror games who don’t mind seeing zombies left and right, this game is the perfect mix of adventure, thrill, adrenaline and quick thinking! You will have to be on the move constantly so you will not get eaten in the first place!
I definitely suggest giving this game a shot if you like the “zombie apocalypse” scenario, because it is a little different than all the other games in this list. It is by far one of the most unique endless runners out there and one you will definitely love.
You can download Into the Dead 2 from the App Store and Google Play!
Super Mario Run
We cannot really have a good list without a good ol’ Mario game. Since Mario is one of the oldest platformer games ever made, it might very well be played even now to bring a little nostalgia and smiles to your face.
Even if it is not exactly like all the other games in the list, it is definitely a fun one because let’s be honest – who doesn’t like Mario?
You can download Super Mario Run from the App Store and Google Play!
Sonic Dash
Now, if you somehow don’t like Mario or you prefer an alternative, the best blast from the past comes from Sonic. He’s also a perfect character for endless running games, and fortunately Sonic Dash gets everything done right.
Multiple characters to unlock, rings to collect for upgrade and evil bosses to defeat. The perfect Sonic experience on mobile!
You can download Sonic Dash from the App Store or Google Play.
Talking Tom Hero Dash
There are a bunch of awesome endless runner games featuring the well known Talking Tom, but I prefer Hero Dash the most thanks to its superhero theme.
Actually, it’s my son who plays this the most (and he has played all the Talking Tom, Angelas and so on games) and he told me that I must include it on the list. So, here it is: your colorful, super fun, highly addictive and insanely fun adventure is just a couple of taps away!
You can download Talking Tom Hero Dash from the App Store or Google Play.
Jumanji: Epic Run
It rarely happens for games based on movies to be any good, but in the case of Jumanji: Epic Run, things look really well: not only that you get the chance to control the characters from the movies, but you also get some nice features and innovative features.
The game is lighthearted and fun, but challenging enough not to keep you bored. And with so many elements from the Jumanji universe, you’ll definitely fall in love with this one.
Download Jumanji: Epic Run from the App Store or Google Play.
Blades of Brim
This is a really cool endless runner, mixing in some nice RPG elements and letting you collect and ride awesome beasts into the game’s world, then hack and slash your way through tons of incoming enemies.
A really good game overall with lots of challenges and tons of stuff to unlock. I am surprised that it’s not (yet) as popular as some of the classics, because there’s definitely high quality material in Blades of Brim, enough to make it a classic!
You can download the game from the App Store or Google Play.
There are also three games that I don’t think need any introduction – they are probably the most successful endless runner games ever and, if you like the genre, you definitely know about them. But they still have to be mentioned:
– Subway Surfers (download it from Google Play or App Store)
– Temple Run (download it from Google Play or App Store)
– Temple Run 2 (download it from Google Play or App Store)
And this would be our list of amazing endless running games to play on your mobile this year. If you know any other similarly great games, don’t hesitate to share their titles with us all by commenting below!
