Nintendo confirmed that those who have recently purchased a Nintendo Switch console are not going to get it replaced for free with the revised model featuring improved battery life.
Speaking with the Verge, a Nintendo of America representative confirmed that a replacement program is not currently available.

At the end of last week, it was being said that all Nintendo Switch consoles purchased after July 17th, the day the new Nintendo Switch model was revealed, would be replaced with the revised model. This replacement program was also confirmed by a Nintendo rep, but it seems like things have changed somewhat since the original confirmation.
The next Nintendo Switch model to release next month is the Nintendo Switch Lite.
