Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order has been released last month exclusively on Nintendo Switch, offering Marvel fans a game that includes the most popular characters of the Marvel Comics universe and a story that brings them together to defeat Thanos.
Even before release, the development team confirmed that additional content would be coming after launch with paid DLC and free updates, and now we have learned when the first DLC pack will drop.
The first Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 DLC will be released late next month, on September 30th. The pack, which will be called Curse of the Vampire, includes Blade, Moon Knight, the Punisher and Morbius.
The DLC pack, however, doesn’t just include new characters, but also new play modes. The first one if Gauntlet Mode, which will see players attempt to complete a series of challenges for rewards. Endurance Mode, on the other hand, will see players try to survive as much as they can against endless hordes of enemies.
Even those who are not going to purchase the game’s Expansion Pass will be getting some new content next week. On August 30th, a brand new update will be released for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, introducing some new costumes for select characters as well as new playable heroes, Colossus and Cyclops.
The two appear in the game’s story mode as non playable characters, so their absence from the playable roster was definitely weird.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is one of the best entries in the series, thanks to its huge and varied character roster and good amount of content. Alongside the story mode, the game also includes several challenges that require players to complete specific tasks, such as completing stages using a single character and so on.
The game is also made even better by the co-op mode, which allows players to play together both locally and online. The camera in co-op mode is far from being the best, but the amount of fun that can be had in this mode more than makes up for it.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
