Chainsaw Warrior Board Game Coming to iOS

This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

I am really happy with this trend of bringing zombie board games to iOS, I must admit that! This time we’re talking about a Games Workshop game, Chainsaw Warrior which was just announced as an upcoming iOS title developed by Auroch Digital.

The original tabletop game was launched in 1987 and was one of the few single player board games released back then, putting you in a race around the clock in a zombie infested New York, tasked with finding the source of this zombie infestation and, of course, with just one goal in mind: stopping it!

Production designer Tomas Rawlings said about the upcoming digital version of Chainsaw Warrior: “”When we spoke to Games Workshop about developing a game this was the top of my list. I loved the 80s style of the game and we’ve kept much of that in our design as well as faithfully translating the gameplay. Don’t expect to win the game easily. This was the Dark Souls or Super Meat Boy of its day. Players didn’t want to buy the game and run out of challenge at first play. The game has many ways to kill you and is unafraid to use them — which makes it all the sweeter when you finally win.””

We are extremely excited about this upcoming iPhone and iOS game here at Touch, Tap, Play and it seems that we’ll get the chance to play the game by the end of this summer. No pricing details have been revealed yet, though.
