In today’s article we are going to share with you everything that you need to know about pet skills in Ulala: Idle Adventure, because if you got a pet, it’s only natural that you will want it to be as powerful as you and help you fight the enemies as much as possible!
So if you have unlocked a pet at level 16, and then kept on leveling up, you will probably be confused as to why the pet skills are still locked. Well, I am here to shed some light on anything that you might want to know, so make sure that you first check out our game guide, to know the very basics beforehand, and then let’s dive right into the Ulala: Idle Adventure Pet Skills guide!
Ulala: Idle Adventure – What is a pet and how do you unlock the skills?
We have explained everything that you need to know about the pets in our Ulala: Idle Adventure pets guide, where we have covered everything from how you unlock one, to how you use it and how their stats affect your character. Check that out because it will probably answer all of your questions regarding the pets.
Now as for the pet skills, they are going to require a little bit of time invested in unlocking and acquiring them, because it’s not all that easy once you unlock the feature.
Basically in order to unlock the skills, you will need to reach Pet Research level 29, which is going to unlock the first active skill slot. Once that is done, you can equip one active pet skill. You will have to keep on training in Pet Research, because that way you will unlock all of the slots and you’ll be able to equip the skills.
Ulala: Idle Adventure – Pet Research Skill Unlock Levels
In order to unlock the skills, you will need to do some Pet Research. This will unlock the skills in a certain order, and if you are curious what Pet Research level you need, then let me list them all below:
Pet Research level 29 – Unlock 1 active skill slot
Pet Research level 38 – Unlock 1 passive skill slot (the first one)
Pet Research level 47 – Unlock 1 passive skill slot (the second one)
Pet Research level 64 – Unlock 1 active skill slot
Pet Research level 85 – Unlock 1 passive skill slot (the third one)
Pet Research level 98 – Unlock 1 passive skill slot (the fourth one)
Pet Research level 123 – Unlock 1 passive skill slot (the fifth one)
Pet Research level 136 – Unlock 1 passive skill slot (the sixth / last one)
So in order to completely unlock all of the pet skill slots, you will need to upgrade Pet Research up to level 136. That’s when you will be able to equip both active skills and all six passives.
Unlocking these will cost Rare Fossils, so if you want to quickly upgrade them, let me tell you how to obtain Rare Fossils!

Now you might be wondering, which pet skills are good for each class, right? Well, that, and also how you can obtain pet skills! All of this I will detail below, so let’s check them out!
Ulala: Idle Adventure – How to get Pet Skills?
In order to acquire Pet Skills, there are a few ways that you can get them, so let’s start listing them all below:
– You can get Pet Skills by checking out the Black Market offers. There you can get random pet skills of random qualities (and numbers of fragments), and that can be either bought with Shells or with Pearls (for premium players).
– You will obtain pet skills from AFK farming. That’s right! Simply farming past a certain stage (if I am not mistaken, past level 30 or so) you will be able to claim random pet skills, of any rarity and quality. They will drop just like Gear would normally drop, but it will take a little to farm all fragments needed, so be patient!
– You can do Pet Expedition and look for pet skills! The pet expedition can also give you randomly pet skills, so if you see an expedition with a Legendary pet skill fragment collection, make sure you do it!
These would be all the ways that I know of that you can collect pet skills! Do you know some more that I have not mentioned?
Ulala: Idle Adventure – Pet Skills for each Class
Each class will benefit differently from the pet skills (once unlocked), but if you want to know some of the best pet skills for a healer, a tank or whatnot, then I will list them down below, according to how much usability they can provide to the master and the team!
Ulala: Idle Adventure – Pet Skills for healers
Active skills: You can either go for more protection, and get Devotion and Healing Mists, or go for Rend and other ATK skills depending on the enemy.
Passive skills: Molten, Onslaugh, Photosynthesis, Sacrificial Pact, Emergency Safeguard, Tenacity.
In my opinion a healer’s pet should provide even more survivability to the master, but also inflict some pretty debuffs on the enemy (such as Onslaugh) which can be useful for the whole team.
Ulala: Idle Adventure – Pet Skills for tanks
Active Skills: Healing Mists, Devotion, Shield Defense. All of these skills will make the pet’s master even more tanky.
Passive Skills: Tenacity, Beast Heart, Firm Heart, Hold Firm, Sacrificial Pact, Emergency Safeguard.
With such skills the pet will not be the most powerful damage dealer, but it will help make the master much more tanky and boost the shields that they receive even more.
Ulala: Idle Adventure – Pet Skills for DPS
Active Skills: Inspire (the best for a DPS character), Smash, Swipe or Assault (if AoE is needed).
Passive Skills: Fury, Battle Heart, Cooperation, Beast Heart, Photosynthesis, Splash.
As a DPS character, you will probably be looking to deploy a pet who is also powerful when it comes to attacking, and has a pretty high Assist attribute to further boost the master’s ATK. If that is the case, then a pet which will boost the attacks of both itself and the master will be great in my opinion.
In my opinion these would be some of the best choices when it comes to picking a skill for the pet, because they will provide assist to the tanks and healers, and boost the DMG to the DPS classes. Do you agree with me? Let me know down in the comments below!
