DOOM Eternal may have been delayed indefinitely on Nintendo Switch, but this isn’t diminishing the hype surrounding the game, and many players are still pre-ordering the game. Which is not all that surprising, considering the pre-order goodies that are being offered.
If you are still on the fence regarding pre-ordering the game, Bethesda and id Software released a brand new trailer showcasing the pre-order bonuses, which also include a remaster of DOOM 64, as well as the game’s Deluxe Edition.
The DOOM Eternal Deluxe Edition includes some additional extras not found in the regular edition. By purchasing it, players will be getting a Demonic Slayer skin, a Classic Weapon Sound Pack, which brings back sound from the classic entries in the series, and the Year One Pass. This pass gives access to two campaign add-ons that will be released within the first year of release. These add-ons will expand on the game’s story, revealing new details on the events that brought the earth’s fall against the demons.
DOOM Eternal’s delay seems to have been a difficult, yet needed, decision to make. The game will also fail to release with all the content that has been announced, as Invasion Mode will be added sometime after release with a free update. The Switch version may feature it at launch since it is still not known precisely when this version of the game will release.
DOOM Eternal launches on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 20th, 2020. The Nintendo Switch version launches on a yet to be confirmed 2020 release date.
