Another interesting and quirky game has now become available for free on the App Store starting today.

NightSky, developed by Nicalis, is a platform/puzzle game which features a unique graphical look and an excellent gameplay experience that was more than worth the game’s original price.

NightSky’s premise in incredibly simple. Gamers have to get a ball from point A to point B by sweeping the screen to control speed and movement. While the premise in indeed simple, the execution is truly excellent, with the game using the limitations of the touch screen controls in some really clever ways. Also, the variety of terrain types introduces a level of generall gameplay variety that was somewhat unexpected, forcing gamers to approach each puzzle differently. The puzzles are so cleverly crafted that solving each one of them brings a sense of accomplishment that can hardy be found in many other platform games currently on the market. As an added bonus, the game features a lot of collectibles which extend the title’s life even further if you’re into collecting items.

NightSky is now available for free on the App Store. Make sure to give the game a spin, you might find yourself positively surprised.
