Shooter Game Ninja Time Pirates Launching On April 9th On The App Store

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

There’s something really intriguing in games using a time travel mechanic, especially when it’s set in the real world. It allows gamers to witness some of the most important events in history and even take part in some of them, changing them forever or making sure that they actually play out as intended. Other times the gimmick is just used as a plot device to put together historical figures taken from different time periods and create some really wacky situations.

This is definitely the case for the shooter game Ninja Time Pirates, developed by Happy Giant. The game begins during World War II and involves gathering Time Guardians so that they can fight for the Earth’s future. Among these guardians are some characters we know well like Cleopatra, Ben Franklin, George Washington and more.

All the characters are definitely more armed than expected, coming with some unique special powers as well that make controlling them a unique experience. This heavy arsenal will be used in the 25 Story missions of the game as well as the in the cross-platform multiplayer mode where each side forms a base and uses its squad to raid the enemy.

Ninja Time Pirates will launch as a free to play game on iOS on April 9th. You can learn more about the game by checking out its official website.
