Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is launching on Nintendo Switch only next month, but the game is already setting out to be one of the best ports ever released on the console, as Capcom is adding some gameplay mechanics that will spice the experience up considerably.
Following the announcement of on-the-fly Style switching, the Japanese publisher confirmed that full weapon switching is also coming to the Nintendo Switch version.
The new mechanic, which has been originally introduced in Devil May Cry 4, has been confirmed by producer Matt Walker. Weapon switching in Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is going to be considerably better than in Devil May Cry 4 and 5, as there will be a radial menu that will allow for fast switching without having to scroll through weapons.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on Nintendo Switch is also going to feature one more extra mechanic that is not available in the other versions of the game. Given that two of the three teased features are huge, it will be interesting to see what Capcom has come up with. Even just with on-the-fly Style switching and full weapon switching, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on Nintendo Switch will be the definitive version of the game.
