Animal Crossing: New Horizons New Footage Showcases Character Customization

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Following months of complete silence, Nintendo is finally revealing more and more on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, releasing next month worldwide on Switch. Today, new footage has been shared online, showing a feature that players have been dying to know more of: character customization.

The new footage shows the character customization menu and the various available options. Judging from the new footage, customization possibilities will be much better than in previous entries in the series, and players will also be able to change the hairstyle of their villager from their home.

Yesterday, more Animal Crossing: New Horizons footage emerged online through commercials. One of them showed the villager arriving in the new island, while the other showed some actual gameplay. Though short, these commercials are a welcome sight, considering the aforementioned silence on the game prior to last week’s Nintendo Direct.

Plenty of new details on the game have been revealed last week, including how save data will be handled. At launch, players will only be able to back up their save file if they are Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The option to transfer save files between consoles will only come later this year.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches on Nintendo Switch on March 20th worldwide.
