NieR Reincarnation has been revealed a while back for iOS and Android but not a whole lot has been said about the game since its initial reveal, not even if it would make its way to North America and Europe down the line. Something that is not exactly a given with Japanese mobile games, even if they are part of popular franchises.
During a special NieR Tokyo Game Show 2020 presentation, it has been confirmed that NieR Reincarnation is indeed releasing in the West in the future. The game is also heading toward its Japanese release, as pre-registrations are now open in the region on both iOS and Android.
A new trailer has also been released, showing more of the game’s unique experience. You can take a look at it right below.
NieR Reincarnation looks extremely unusual, which shouldn’t be surprising to fan of the series who are used to Yoko Taro’s general weirdness. While it’s too soon to say if the game will live up to the legacy of the original NieR and NieR Automata, NieR Reincarnation does look quite promising.
NieR Reincarnation releases on iOS and Android on a yet to be confirmed release date as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
