This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

BitLife is the game where you can live your life anyway you want without facing real world consequences! You can live a peaceful life, working hard for a good job and finding the love of your life… or you can be a little more chaotic and conquer the world one person at a time!

You can go to medical school to become a doctor, or you can even become a private detective, but today we will be looking at how to be a little more dastardly – that’s right, it’s time to rob a bank! We will show you how in our BitLife guide on how to rob a bank.

Be Good During your Early Years

We know you want to start making the big bucks right away, but remember that each life in BitLife starts as a little baby. For the time being, you will need to grow up as a well-behaved child.

Yes, we know that sounds counter-intuitive to our end goal, but just trust us on this one. Try to be as nice as possible to your siblings and parents, and do well in school, all the way up until you graduate secondary school.

Pass your Driving Exam

This one is very important. Sometime during your secondary school years, you will be prompted to take your driving exam. You must pass the exam to earn your license, otherwise you will fail and have to retry the test.

Don’t sweat it if you fail. You can always try again by going into the Activities then scrolling down to Licenses – you can retake the test here.

You will have to identify a random road sign for your driving exam. Correctly identifying the sign will get you your license, so be sure to look up the sign on a search engine to make sure you’ll pass.

Getting a Ride

Now here is where your good behavior will pay off. If your family is not in the red and you have been nice to them during your early years, there is a good chance they will offer to buy a car for you.

This event will ONLY trigger if you have gotten your license, which is why it’s important to earn it as soon as you can. You may miss your chance of a free car if you procrastinate on getting your license.

Whatever car they offer to buy you, make sure to take it right away and show your appreciation.

Robbing a Bank

Continue to study for the remainder of your high school career. Once you graduate, don’t apply to a university, because this is when the fun begins!

Go to Activities, then scroll down to Crime. Tap on Bank Robbery and you can begin the robbery process.

The game will ask you about four different things: the bank you want to rob, your weapon of choice, your disguise, and your getaway vehicle.

Your choice of banks will be randomized out of a selection of three. We have found that targeting credit unions has resulted in more successful robberies, but that could have just been luck.

Your weapon of choice is also randomized, but we honestly cannot tell if this makes any difference. Try to go with the weapons that sound potentially dangerous, and avoid the silly sounding ones like the Toy Gun.

Your disguise is randomized as well. Again, we cannot confirm if specific disguises increase your odds or not.

Finally, you can pick a getaway vehicle. Do not choose anything other than a vehicle you own, as that will almost always guarantee an unsuccessful robbery.

Do note that if you do not like any of the selections, you can back out and start the process over and your list of selections will be randomized again.

Once you make your selections, hit the “Rob it” button and hope and pray. Robbery – much like a majority of BitLife’s systems – seems to be purely random other than a few negligible factors, so it can go either way.

If you are successful, you will earn a TON of cash. If you aren’t, well, let’s just say that you’re probably going to prison. Unless you’re sitting on a lot of cash to either bribe the cops with or pay for a good lawyer, you will most likely have to spend some time in prison.

We recommend not attempting bank robberies unless you have a backup plan in mind if you don’t want to spend too much time in prison. Bank robberies are just too random (a lot like real life, huh?) to rely on, so be careful.

That concludes our guide on how to rob banks in BitLife. If you have any other tips or tricks that improve your odds of a successful robbery, please let us know in the comments below!
