While touch screen controls are fine for most high-profile iOS and Android games, nothing can compare to the feel of a real controller. Several mobile games do offer official controller support, but a few others do not.
The popular PUBG Mobile is in a situation of its own, as far as controller support goes. The game doesn’t offer native support, but any Bluetooth-enabled controller can be used to move your character on the battlefield. No action can be mapped to the controller’s buttons, so you will still need to use touch screen controls to shoot your opponents and interact with the environment.
The PUBG Mobile developer doesn’t seem interested in introducing proper controller support in the future either. To ensure fair gameplay, the developer has made it so that those playing the game on PC via any Android emulator will be matched into separate lobbies, so that those playing the game with touch screen controls will not have to deal with any unfair advantage.
Despite not supporting any regular Bluetooth-enabled controlled, it is still possible to play PUBG Mobile with a controller without resorting to Android emulators. Some controllers on the market feature touch-capacitive triggers that are able to press the virtual buttons on the screen. It is far from being an optimal solution, but it is the only way to currently play PUBG Mobile with a controller properly.
No matter how you play it, however, PUBG Mobile is one of the best battle royale games currently available on mobile devices. You can download it for free from the App Store and Google Play Store.
