Knowing how and when to heal is extremely important in any role-playing game worthy of its name, and things are no different in Genshin Impact, with its high-speed action combat system that makes it more complicated to always keep an eye on the remaining HP of each character in your party.
In Genshin Impact, you can heal your characters in a few different ways. You can use specific healing skills, you can acess the Statues of the Seven, or you can eat food.
Accessing the Statues of the Seven is definitely the most convenient of ways, as you just need to interact with a statue to heal all of your party member’s HP. The healing power of the statue, however, gets depleted once used, so you will have to wait for it to refill to be able to use it again.
Using food to heal in Genshin Impact may not be as convenient as healing by using the Statues of the Seven, but it is definitely way more useful since you also get to enjoy some added bonus that can make the difference in the most difficult of fights.
To cook in Genshin Impact, you will need a cooking pot or a furnace. While you cannot bring a pot with you at all times, it is incredibly easy to find them in your travels, especially in campsites. All you have to do to get ready for cooking is to use the Pyre skill to light the fire.
Once you are near a usable cooking pot or furnace, you can open the cooking menu to pick which recipe you want to cook. Recipes can be found all over the world, and require set ingredients, like mushrooms, fowl, raw meat, bird eggs, and the like. Each recipe not only restores a set amount of HP, but it also grants some very nice bonuses like increased ATK, increased DEF, automatic HP regen, and so on.
Each character in Genshin Impact has his or her own proficiency at cooking specific recipes, and most characters cannot cook perfectly every type of food. As such, you will be tasked with completing a simple mini-game where you must stop the pointer at a specific spot. Doing so will improve the efficacy of the food as well as the character’s proficiency at cooking it, and once it has been maxed out, you will not have to play the mini-game for that specific recipe ever again.
Acquiring ingredients in Genshin Impact is not too difficult, as far as the most common ingredients go. Many of them such as fruits, vegetables, and herbs can be found on the field, while meat can be obtained by capturing critters and hunting animals. In case you want to take the easy way out, you can head over to any general goods store in the game to purchase them. Money makes the world go round, and things are no different in the magical world of Genshin Impact.
