DOOM Eternal On Nintendo Switch Will Be A Digital Only Release

DOOM Eternal has yet to receive a release date on Nintendo Switch, but it seems like fans of the series will not be able to purchase the game by their favorite retailer.

As reported by Nintendo Life, the next entry in the DOOM series on Nintendo Switch will not receive a physical release anymore. All those who pre-ordered should receive full refunds.

While Doom Eternal is 100% on track for an imminent digital-only release on Nintendo Switch, the absence of a physical release at retail resulted in canceled pre-orders. Affected customers will receive full refunds and should contact their preferred retailer for more information. Stay tuned for much more information coming later this month.

DOOM Eternal was originally going to release on Nintendo Switch earlier this year, but this version of the game was eventually delayed. A new release date, as already mentioned, has yet to be confirmed, but the fact thatr Bethesda talked about an imminent release means that the game is not that far away.
