SaGa Frontier Remastered Announced For Nintendo Switch

Back in the PlayStation 1 era, Square Enix released a lot of experimental role-playing games that offered unique takes on the classic Final Fantasy formula. Among them was SaGa Frontier, an entry in the SaGa series that not too many enjoyed due to its unique features that are never properly explained in-game.

Quite a long time has passed since the release of the game, and now Square Enix is getting ready to present one of its most hardcore games to a new generation of gamers.

The Japanese publisher confirmed over the weekend SaGa Frontier Remastered, hitting Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2021. The remaster will feature not only improved graphics, but also a new playable character, Fuse. All characters in the game come with their own unique campaign that players can influence using the Free-Form Scenario System, changing how the story develops and ends depending on the choices they make.
