Eternal Snowflake is the latest event in Illusion Connect, and it’s a pretty good one, compared to the previous Tourney event. In Eternal Snowflake event, you will be able to open Gold Eggs and reveal tons of prizes. Of course, among these prizes, there is a free skin included, but let’s start with the very beginning.
Illusion Connect Eternal Snowflake Event Period: 10 December 2020 – 18 December 2020
During the time of this event, you will gain access to a limited-time banner for Rotania, a truly great SSR unit. Other than that, you will be able to claim the free Winter Blossom Angela skin, a lot of Diamonds, and plenty more amazing gifts.
Eternal Snowflake Event description:
Players have to clear stages, collect the Snow Candies and Ice Eggs from each of the stages, and smash Gold Eggs in order to reveal various prizes. All in all, it’s a fairly simple event mechanic. However, you need to manage your Stamina well, because you might end up using a lot of it (since you might want to claim a lot of Snowflakes).
Event items explained:
In this event there are just a couple of items. It’s much simpler than the Tourney event, where you had a lot more. These are the event-specific items:
– Snowflakes (they allow you to clear event stages, and act like Stamina for the event)
– Ice Eggs (with them you can open Gold Eggs)
– Snow Candy (used to claim rewards from event Achievements)
How to get Snowflakes:
Snowflakes are the Energy used for this event, and they refill over time. However, you should not rely on that for this event, because the refill time is super high. Instead, you’ll have to use your own Stamina and farm Snowflakes from in-game means.
– You can get 1 Snowflake every 8 hours
– You can get Snowflakes by completing Exploration
– You can get Snowflakes by completing Daily Trials
– You can get Snowflakes from the Normal Dream stages and Collapsed Dream stages
How to get Ice Eggs:
Ice Eggs can only be claimed by completing event stages. With them, you can smash Gold Eggs and reveal the prizes hidden inside.
– 1 Ice Egg will allow you to open 1 Gold Egg.
– You get 3 Ice Eggs by completing all the event Daily Quests.
– You can claim additional Ice Eggs by collecting enough Stars in the event stages (10, 20, and 30). These are one-time-only, just like for the Normal and Collapsed Dream stages.
How to get Snow Candy:
Snow Candy can be used in the event Achievement Quests to claim Diamonds, SSR equipment, and the free Winter Blossom Angela skin. You can only obtain them in the following ways:
– By completing event stages.
– By completing event Daily Quests.
Illusion Connect Eternal Snowflake event stages explained
The stages during this event are extremely easy, especially compared to the Tourney ones. Your CP doesn’t have to be in the 300k’s to be able to complete all of them, which leads me to believe that every new player with a decent team lineup should be able to complete them.
There are some units that you can use for additional benefits, but as a new player, chances of having them are pretty slim. Either way, here are the bonuses you get by using them:
– Frantiva: Her DMG Rate will be increased by 50%.
– Angela: Her HP will be increased by 100%.
– Rotania: Her ATK Ratio will be increased by 50%.
If you’re not completely sure what these stats mean, make sure you check out our stats guide, where I’ve explained each and every one of them.
You want to complete the Normal event stages as fast as you can, and them move on to the Collapsed ones, which give better rewards.
Illusion Connect Eternal Snowflake event quests explained
You will have a total of 6 Daily quests and 28 Achievements, which give you some pretty good rewards. From the daily quests, you’ll be able to claim a total of 150 Snow Candy, 3 Ice Eggs, and 50 Diamonds every day.
From the Achievements you’ll be able to claim a total of 1800 Diamonds, 10 Summon Tickets, 1 Honor Gem, 2 SSR Gear, 1 Advance Crystal – Amethyst, 20x Random Rare Gifts and the new and limited-time skin for Angela, Winter Blossom. To claim all the achievements (skin included) you’ll need a total of 12000 Snow Candies.
Gold Egg Smashing done right
Now let’s talk about the amazing rewards from Gold Egg Smashing. In short, all of the Ice Eggs that you collect can be spent here for rewards. This part is like a lotto, so it all pretty much depends on your luck.
There are a total of 12 Rounds that you can claim, and each of them has 3 Deluxe Rewards, and 15 Normal Rewards. Once you’ve found the 3 Deluxe Rewards, you can refresh (or should I say upgrade) the round, to give you a new set of rewards.
You can select the eggs you want to open one by one, or you can let them game open multiple eggs for you by selecting the Batch Open button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
I strongly suggest that you try to get all the best rewards in the pools before you reset, because they will make quite a big difference. Here are the Normal Rewards you should try to obtain:
– Lost Mirror
– Crystals (you will need A LOT of them later on, trust me)
– Diamonds
– Broken Best Friend Prism
These rewards, even if they’re Normal rarity, will help you quite a lot in the game, so if you can continue in the current round even after claiming all of the Deluxe rewards, I suggest you do so.
To open all of the Easter Eggs within one round you’ll need a total of 18 Ice Eggs.
Conclusion
This event is pretty straightforward. It’s going to last for only a week, so you should rush to finish all the Normal and Collapsed event stages so that you can then raid the Collapsed ones for more Snow Candy.
When you finish claiming the rewards from all of the Rounds, you should end up with 60 Selena Shards, which will result in a complete Selena (SSR) partner. Additionally, you’ll get the following rewards:
– 1 Honor Gem
– 3x Gift Box XL
– 20 Summon Tickets
– 10 Selected Tickets
– 3 Hero Chests (SSR gear)
– 10 Broken Destiny Prism (SSR partner shards)
So, thus being said, I would say that all of the rewards from this event will be amazing. The event’s difficulty is not too hard, so all of the players should be able to advance quite a bit and end up with Selena once they’ve completed Round 12.
There is also a Frantiva Skin, Noble Snow, which is available in the Shop -> Skin for the duration of the event. This skin costs 188 Skin Coupons.
