Another classic arcade game is going to be released soon on the App Store, a game that fighting games fans will surely remember.
King of Fighters ’98 is now ready to make the jump on iOS devices with some really interesting features that will make the game as enjoyable as it used to be on other formats. SNK Playmore has confirmed that the game will support Bluetooth controllers, something that’s definitely required for a fighting game. So if you have one, playing King of Fighters ’98 on an iOS device will feel like playing it on a video games console or PC.
The control tweaks don’t end here. The new version of the game will include a four and six buttons control schemes and the option to use simplified special moves. Among other new features are a training mode and Bluetooth multiplayer. It’s a shame that there won’t be any online multiplayer.
King of Fighters ’98 includes a really huge and diverse character roster, with several series’ mainstays coming back in full force. The game is still today one of the best fighting games ever released thanks to its excellent gameplay experience that hasn’t aged one bit.
