Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection, like the original game, may be a very straightforward game, compared to other modern titles anyway, but this doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its own fair share of secrets to unlock.
One of the secrets that you have to work hard to unlock is the True Ending. Like in the original, you will need to complete the game twice to experience it, but just going through each level twice is not going to be enough, as you need to do a few other things to fight the real final boss and see the proper conclusion to Arthur’s tale.
Here’s how to unlock the True Ending in Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection.

To unlock the true ending in Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection, you will have to complete the game twice first, going through all of the regular stages and then through the Shadow stages. Once this is done, you will have to collect all 17 Demon Orbs.
Demon Orbs are awarded after completing the challenges found inside Hellholes, optional areas scattered all over the stages. To unlock a Hellhole, you will first have to locate a Black Chest inside any given level, defeat the enemy inside and then go through the rest of the stage to locate the newly opened Hellhole.
While this process can be a little annoying, the game at least makes searching for these Hellholes a little less frustrating. Each time you complete one, the game is saved, so you can just quit the stage and move on to the next stage and the next Hellhole.
Once you have obtained all Demon Orbs, you will be able to fight the true final boss in the Shadow Shadowlord’s Citadel. Defeat it to unlock the True Ending.
