Super Mario Party launched a while back on Nintendo Switch, and it seemed like Nintendo was done with the game, as no new update has been made available in quite a while. Today, however, Nintendo proved how it did not forget about its party game, as it has released a brand new update that adds some welcome new features.
The 1.1.0 update, which is live right now in all regions, introduces online play support for the Mario Party, Partner Party and Free Play modes. To play these modes online, players will require a Nintendo Switch Online active subscription.
While all the modes come with the same features available offline, not all minigames are, as ten of them are not available.
The following 10 minigames are not available when playing over the internet.
- Strike It Rich
- Time to Shine
- Take a Stab
- All-Star Swingers
- Rhythm and Bruise
- Pep Rally
- Wiped Out
- Fiddler on the Hoof
- Clearing the Table
- Baton and On
More information on the new Super Mario Party update can be found on Nintendo’s website.
Super Mario Party is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
