What does the Smite Enchantment do?

The Smite enchantment gives your weapon of choice bonus damage against undead mobs. Smite can only be applied to swords and axes. Additionally, Smite can be up to level V, and each level increases its damage dealt by 2.5. Here’s a list of mobs that count as undead:

  • Skeletons
  • Withers
  • Wither Skeletons
  • Zombified Piglins

Smite is incompatible with the following enchantments: Sharpness, Cleaving, and Bane of Arthropods. If your sword or axe has any of those enchantments applied, Smite will overwrite them if you apply it.
