Pokémon Sword And Shield's Crown Tundra DLC

Pokemon Sword and Shield: How to Get Poipole

Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra expansion pack included a new region to explore, new features and mechanics, and some legendary monsters to catch. One of these legendary Pokemon is Poipole, a Poison-type Pokemon who was first introduced in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

To have the chance of catching Poipole, you must first complete the entire Crown Tundra story. This includes three Legendary Quests given to you by Peony in Freezington:

  • The Scared Bonds of The Sovereign and Stweed Quest
  • The Terrible Titans Locked Away Quest
  • A Legendary Tree of a Legendary Three Quest
Dynamax Adventure awaits! (Pokemon Company)

Once those quests are completed, you must interact with a sparkling object containing a Legendary Clue in Peony’s hut. Return it to Peony, who can be found at the Max Lair, a sub-area within the DLC. Here you will have the opportunity to battle various Dynamaxed Pokemon with three other players (AI or real players). Battle and capture 5 Ultra Beasts and the legendary monster Necrozma, speaking to Peony after each Dynamax Adventure.

Poipole will appear in the Max Lair after you have completed the Dynamax Adventure and have captured 5 Ultra Beasts and Necrozma. Interacting with Poipole will prompt a conversation between you and the scientist who will ask you to take Poipole away with you. Accept the offer and Poipole is now yours!
