One really successful title based on the series is One Piece Treasure Cruise, a free to play role playing game released last year in Japan on iOS. No one thought the game could be released West, considering other mobile games based on popular franchise were never localized, but Bandai Namco Games surprised Western fans and finally released the game outside Japan.

One Piece Treasure Cruise closely follows the manga and anime storyline, with players accompanying Monkey D. Luffy and his crew in their journey to conquer the Grand Line and make Luffy the Pirate King. In the game, players will be able to recruit a variety of characters taken from the series and get them ready to fight. Battles can get really hectic, as players will have to tap the screen to chain attacks together to increase damage.

One Piece Treasure Cruise is now available for free on the App Store. Being a free to play title, One Piece Treasure Cruise comes with several IAPs that can make players’ life easier in the game.
