How to Make a Garden in Townscaper

Townscaper has a number of a secret buildings to construct, such as lighthouses, churches, archways, and even gardens. Want to add some greenery to your seaside port town in Townscaper? You’ve come to the right place—we’ll walk you through each step to creating your own garden.

First, let’s start out with a foundation island. You can make it as big or small as you want it, there’s no size requirement for gardens. This island will be the basis for your garden, so size however you want.

Once you have your foundation, you’ll want to make a closed off circle or square made out of houses. You can use the entirety of your foundation, or you can use a little section, it doesn’t matter. Once you close off the section with your last house, a garden should pop up!

Gardens are a great compliment to your neighborhoods, so make sure to fiddle with the sizing to get exactly what you want. If you want to further customize them, you can even add in stone walls for some eye-catching decor.

To get garden stone walls, place houses near the walls of the garden to make the walls pop up. You’ll have to mess with this to get the exact design you want, as we’re not entirely sure what determines how the walls generate. You can also place houses in the middle of garden to act as center anchors.

You can add walking paths to your garden too, but they’re sort of tricky to generate. You need to have two archways that are directly across from each other in a straight line. If the archways are not aligned, no walkways will generate. It helps to have the grid active when you’re trying to make paths.

To make an archway, put down a three foundations in a row, then place another one on top of the center foundation. Delete the bottom middle foundation and an archway should form. You can make it as thin or as thick as you want it.

The final decoration you can add to gardens are statues. To make a statue, you need at least four paths intersecting at one spot. You can do this in a number of ways, and here’s an example that we did if you’re having trouble visualizing this.
