If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the Stardew Valley 1.6 release just like I have, then you’re in for a treat. In this article, I will show you a preview of the Meadowlands Farm so you know what to expect when you start a game on this layout.
The Meadowlands Farm is said to be the one that you choose if you plan on being a farmer. If you want to focus on animals instead of crops, this one will help you. There is a special kind of grass that grows on this farm set, which makes animals super happy – so feeding is going to be a whole lot easier.
You Don’t Start With Any Crops
The number one thing that is worth noting is that you won’t start with the usual Parsnips. You will, instead, start with 15x Hay. That, along with the 2 baby chicks that you already have and the coop pre-built, should give you something to think about.
About the Meadowlands Farm in Stardew Valley 1.6
There is not a whole lot different on this farm, other than the Coop start – you still have SOME space to build around for crops if you want, but there is not as much space as in the default farm or the four corners farm. However, it’s perfectly good for a casual player who wants to try their hand at everything the game has to offer – and save some Gold by pre-owning a coop!
As you can see, I’ve just started a new game on the new farm layout to check this, and it is indeed pretty fun. Just bear in mind that a few of the things are switched around – the bat cave/mushroom cave is now located on the South-Earth of the farm, and there are a couple of lakes towards the South-West. All in all, it’s a pretty fun layout and I certainly can’t wait to check it out!
