How to Get Water Into the Nether in Minecraft

While exploring the Nether in Minecraft, players come across Nether Fortress that holds a ton of Nether Wart. Players can use water and Nether Wart to craft Awkward Potion, used as the base of every other potion.

However, the problem is, Nether doesn’t offer any source of water. And, without water, players cannot craft Awkward Potions.

How to Get Water Into the Nether

While there is no infinite source of water in the Nether, Minecraft players can use some makeshift methods to bring water into the Nether. Players can fill a Cauldron with water and bring it into the Nether.

However, the Cauldron can hold water worth only three glass bottles. So we recommend players make a portal connecting the Nether and the normal world. Once that is done, players can fill glass bottles with water and bring them into the Nether. 

Filling glass bottles and bringing them into the Nether is the most optimal way that we can think of. There were other methods like using a water bucket, ice blocks, and other things to obtain water in the Nether. However, most of them are either patched or are just not efficient.
