New Pokémon Snap

All Illumina Pokémon In New Pokémon Snap

The Lental region is a very mysterious area of the world. While it looks all nice and colorful on the outside, it hides plenty of strange phenomena under its beautiful exterior, and only with your help, Professor Mirror will be able to uncover all the mysteries of the new region where New Pokémon Snap is set.

Among the mysteries of the Lental Region are the Illumina Pokémon. These Pokémon look identical to their counterpart found in the rest of the world, only that they glow for some strange reason. To discover why they do, there’s only one thing you can do: take the best photos of them as you can!

Here’s where to find all of the Illumina Pokémon in New Pokémon Snap.

All Illumina Pokémon In New Pokémon Snap

There are six different Illumina Pokémon in New Pokémon Snap: Meganium, Milotic, Volcarona, Wishiwashi, Steelix and the legendary Xerneas who you will find right at the end of the game.

Meganium

Meganium is the Illumina Pokémon of the Florio area, and it can be found in the Florio Nature Park Illumina Spot, which is unlocked after clearing the Florio Nature Park course at night.

Milotic

Milotic can be found in the Elsewhere Forest Illumina Spot, which can be unlocked by reaching Research Level 2 for the Elsewhere Forest. To take a picture of Milotic, throw a Fluffrut at it.

Volcarona

Volcarona can be found in the Fireflow Volcano Illumina Spot, which can be unlocked by reaching Research Level 2 in for Fireflow Volcano. You will actually find two of them in the spot: throw two Fluffruit at any of the two to take a picture of them.

Wishiwashi

Wishiwashi is among the Illumina Pokémon that need a little more work to uncover. Unlock the Lental Seafloor – Undersea course by reaching Research Level 2 for both the Blushing Beach (Day) and Maricopia Reef (Day) courses. Then, you must unlock the Maricopia’s area Illumina Orbs and the Seafloor Alternate Path. Once all this is done, play through the Seafloor course, pick the Alternate Path and throw Illumina Orbs at the Wishiwashi as soon as you spot them to make them go into formation: only pictures of the School Form will count, so do not snap individual photos.

Steelix

Steelix can be found in the Outaway Cave Illumina Spot, which is unlocked by reaching Research Level 2 in the Outaway Cave. The Spot is located in the course’s Alternate Path, so you will have to unlock this as well. After you have unlocked everything that is required, play the Outaway Cave course, take the Alternate Path and reach the Illumina Spot that is filled with holes. Throw Fluffruit at the holes until Steelix appears, then throw Illumina Orbs to take a picture of it.

Xerneas

Xerneas is found in the Ruins of Remembrance Illumina Spot. It’s the final “boss” of the game, so you will have to take a picture of it to complete the story.
