Alolan Ninetales’s Attributes

Alolan Ninetales is a ranged attacker suited for intermediate players. Alolan Ninetales slings snow around, controlling the battlefield and denying important areas from enemies. Many of Alolan Ninetales’ moves slow down enemies, if not outright freezing them in place, allowing the team to move in and secure a KO.

Alolan Ninetales starts out as Alolan Vulpix at level 1, then evolves into Alolan Ninetales at level 4.

Passive: Snow Warning

Causes snow to fall on an opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to them and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. Attacks sling snow, and hitting the same target with snow multiple times will freeze them for a short time.

Base Moves

Choose one of these moves at level 1, then the other at level 3.

Powder Snow – 5s CD – Area

Attacks with a chilly gust of powdery snow, decreasing the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when it hits.

Icy Wind – 8s CD – Ranged

Attacks with a gust of freezing air, decreasing the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when it hits.

Level 4 Powder Snow Upgrades

Choose one of these moves to morph Powder Snow into an improved version.

Avalanche – 7s CD – Area

Attacks with the gush of chilly ice toward the designated area. The ice forms a wall that cannot be passed through on land. After a short time, this wall melts and collapses, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect. Upgrade: also decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when this move hits.

Dazzling Gleam – 7.5s – Hindrance

Attacks with a powerful cone of blinding light, leaving opposing Pokémon unable to act when this move hits. Upgrade: increases damage dealt and the length of time opposing Pokémon are unable to act.

Level 6 Icy Wind Upgrades

Choose one of these moves to morph Icy Wind into an improved version.

Blizzard – 11s CD – Ranged

Summons a howling Blizzard in front of the user, decreasing the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time and shoving nearby Pokémon. When the blizzard hits an obstacle, it splits and spreads out to the left and right. Upgrade: reduces the intervals between this move’s damage-dealing ticks.

Aurora Veil – 13s CD – Buff

Creates an aurora around the user that reduces damage received by the user and ally Pokémon in the area of effect. Also increases the user’s movement speed and makes all of their basic attacks boosted attacks while this move is in effect. Upgrade: further reduces damage ally Pokémon receive.

Unite Move

Snow Globe – Area

Attacks with chilly snow and ice, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect when it hits. Deals increased damage to opposing Pokémon that are frozen.
