The Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update and the Happy Home Paradise DLC are now finally available worldwide, and players can finally enjoy a slew of new features that are sure to make their time in the game more enjoyable. Sadly, as it often happens with big updates, bugs may also be introduced. The big 2.0 update unfortunately did introduce some nasty bugs that will impact your gameplay quite a bit.
Thankfully, you can avoid them pretty easily if you pay attention and follow a simple procedure.
How to Avoid Bugs While Remodeling Resident’s Homes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0
Shortly after the Happy Home Paradise DLC went live, some players have encountered gameplay bugs when visiting the Resident Services and asking to remodel a resident’s home, forcing them to quit the game and start over from their last save.
Today, Nintendo acknowledged these gameplay bugs, confirming they only happen when you ask to remodel a resident’s home when the gates at the airport are open.
While the bugs will be fixed in a future update, Nintendo also provided a simple workaround to not trigger these gameplay bugs. All players need to do is avoid asking to remodel a resident’s home while the gates at the airport are open. In case the issues are triggered, closing the game and relaunching it will be more than enough to fix them, as your save file will not be affected.
When Will the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Remodeling Resident’s Homes Be Fixed?
At the time, Nintendo hasn’t specified when the next Animal Crossing: New Horizons including a fix for these bugs will be released. Given how annoying it can be, it shouldn’t take too long. For the time being, follow the workaround detailed above and you will be fine.
