The popular battle royale game Apex Legends Mobile, developed by Respawn, its expanding its reach this year. Not only the game is going to release next month on Nintendo Switch, complete with cross-platform play, but it could also release within a few months on iOS and Android.
During this week’s conference call, as reported by Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad publisher EA commented on Apex Legends Mobile, revealing that the game could soft-launch in the next 3 to 4 months.
Given Apex Legends rising popularity, it is no surprise that EA wants to expand the game’s reach as much as possible. With the many battle royale games available on iOS and Android, it will definitely be a though fight for Respawn’s game, but if the mobile version manages to stay true to the PC and console version, it should have no problem carving out its space in the mobile market.
Apex Legends Mobile launches on a yet to be confirmed release date on iOS and Android. The game is now available on PC and consoles, with a Nintendo Switch version releasing in March.
