Assassin’s Creed Pirates, the mobile spin off game for Ubisoft’s open world franchise, has now been discounted on the App Store.
The game’s now priced at £1.99 / $2.99, which is low enough for a game like this. While the game is packed with contents, the gameplay experience can become repetitive fast. The many missions found in the game are also on the easy side, making this more of a cruise rather than a voyage on a pirate ship. Despite all this, the game’s still quite engaging, especially if you love the series and the naval gameplay aspects introduced by the latest entry of the series.
Assassin’s Creed: Pirates shares the same setting as the latest Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Unfortunately it doesn’t share most of its gameplay components, placing the naval aspects of the game at the center of the experience. This doesn’t mean that it’s a bad game, just different from what fans of the series expected.

Assassin’s Creed: Pirates is now available on the App Store. The game has recently received an update, which introduces a few tweaks for the defensive mechanics as well as balancing the game’s overall difficulty.
