Among the additions of the new update are new missions and achievements a new social feature and a brand new area to explore. While exploring the Nassau map you will have to be very careful, as the difficulty of the new map is higher than the rest of the game.

A few balancing tweaks have also been inlcuded in the new update. The overall difficulty level has been increased slightly, making defending more difficult than before. At the same time the defense mechanics have been made more effective, since you will be able to counter and destroy cannonballs mid fire.

Assassin’s Creed: Pirates shares the same setting as the latest Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Unfortunately it doesn’t share most of its gameplay components, placing the naval aspects of the game at the center of the experience. This doesn’t mean that it’s a bad game, just different from what fans of the series expected.
