Assassin’s Creed The Rebel Collection May Not Include All Games On Cart

Plenty of collections have been released on Nintendo Switch in recent times, allowing players to experience remastered versions of older games like the first three entries in the Crash Bandicoot series, the first three Spyro games and more.

Due to the Nintendo Switch using cartridges, most of these collections require an additional download, and it seems like another upcoming collection will have the same issues.

According to a listing on Amazon Spain, Assassin’s Creed The Rebel Collection, which will include Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue, will require players to download the second game, as only Assassin’s Creed IV will be included in the cart.

The download size for the game hasn’t been announced yet, but this is still disappointing.

The fact that these collections can’t seem to include all of the games on a cart is becoming more and more of an issue, especially considering how some massive games, like The Witcher 3, do not require any additional download.

The extra effort required to compress data is likely not worth it for remasters, surely, but it’s still disappointing for those with data caps who are forced to download huge amounts of data to make a retail copy complete.
