Fire Emblem Engage includes a feature where players can adopt an animal they find during their travels. After completing the fourth chapter the feature will be unlocked and players can start adopting animals. Find out more below in ‘Best Animals to Adopt in Fire Emblem Engage – Animal Adoption Guide’.
Adopting Animals in Fire Emblem Engage
Players can adopt animals after completing chapter 4. The feature will show as available after a pop up notification. Adopting animals is easy to do as the animals don’t run away when you approach them. Just approach it and tap ‘Adopt’ and that’s it!
There are over 20 animals to adopt, some of which are more rare than others. Some require a higher donation level than others, so won’t be available straight away. Once you have adopted an animal it can provide you with much-needed resources and items.

The resources dropped by the animals can help you craft things you need like weapons and outfits. Even the most rare items can be crafted easily using resources offered by adopted animals. The limited amount of animals that roam outside are the only ones that give resources, and you can switch them around whenever you like.
