Weapons

  • Rauðrvulture+: If unit is not adjacent to an ally, inflicts penalty on foe’s Atk/Res during combat = 5 + any current penalty on each of those stats (Example: if foe has -7 penalty to Atk, inflicts Atk-12, for a net penalty of Atk-19 during combat). Assists

  • This unit has no inherent Assist skills.

Specials

  • Glacies: Boosts damage by 80% of unit’s Res.

Passives

  • Atk/Res Push (A): At start of combat, if unit’s HP = 100%, grants Atk/Res+5, but if unit attacked, deals 1 damage to unit after combat.
  • Sabotage Atk (B): At start of turn, if any foe’s Res ≤ unit’s Res-3 and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk-7 on that foe through its next action.

Strategy & Builds

Salem is a strong Red Tome unit, with balanced stats and hefty Res, making him the perfect anti-mage. With Rauðrvulture+‘s bonus effects, he can dish out some nasty damage if he moves alone as a lone wolf and can pretty much nullify counterattacks.

As mentioned, Salem is a great anti-mage unit, as his naturally high Res makes him quite tanky against magic attacks. The tradeoff is that his Def is dangerously low, and if he can’t get his Atk reducing debuffs off, he can easily be one-shotted by a strong physical attacker.

Since he doesn’t have an inherent C passive skill, you can equip him with your favorite damage mitigation passives, like Atk Smoke. A good S passive to use is Mystic Boost for the extra self-sustain.
