Elden Ring is an open-world action role-playing developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Just like Bloodborne, Demon’s Souls, Sekiro, and the Dark Souls series, Elden Ring was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. The caveat here is that the game was made in collaboration with the award-winning fantasy novelist and source material creator for the highly popular Game of Thrones television show, George R. R. Martin, who provided a lot of source material for the game’s setting.
Elden Ring was released for Microsoft Windows, Steam Deck, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.
The Soulsborne games are known for their difficulty level, and Elden Ring is no exception. One of the things that can ease the difficulty curve is a player’s proper knowledge of the game’s stat system and how to use it to their advantage when choosing and making their own builds. One of the stats that can be exclusively focused on is Dexterity.
Dexterity
Dexterity is one of the stats in Elden Ring. Stats refer to various properties that govern a player’s character strengths and weaknesses, as well as how they are affected by different interactions, both in and out of combat.
Dexterity as a stat primarily affects a player’s ability to wield Dexterity-based Armaments, as well as how much their damage output will be. Dexterity is one of the eight attributes that players can spend Runes on to level up. Doing so will increase the stat’s effectiveness and influence their relative secondary stats as well as scaling weapons.
Stats such as Dexterity are an important aspect of character progression in Elden Ring, and a lot of weapons in the game revolve around this stat.
Dexterity Weapons
Dexterity Weapons in this game are quite expansive as compared to the previous Soulsborne games. The top 3 best scaling Dex weapons are:
- Uchigatana: A two-handed longsword with a Bleed effect on attack.
- Scythe: A heavy Dex-based weapon, with higher damage and a Bleed effect on attack.
- Bloodhound’s Fang: A legendary weapon obtained by beating Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. Fast attacks with a special ability to perform a backflip to get out of danger, after delivering a huge attack.
