Similar to the Manticore Shifter, this archetype is also quite strong, but you can make the best of it if you know how to approach character creation and which feats to invest in as you level up.

Character creation for the best Feyform Shifter build

Just like when you’re building your Manticore Shifter, you should start with a human (even though the race doesn’t affect the final result that much) and go with the Street Urchin/Pickpocket background.

You may want to distribute your ability points so that Strength and/or Dexterity take the lead, depending on personal preferences. Here’s one example of how you could approach this:

  • Strength: 14
  • Dexterity: 20
  • Constitution: 14
  • Intelligence: 7
  • Wisdom: 14
  • Charisma: 7

If you put Dexterity first, then spend your skill points on options like Mobility, Stealth, Trickery, or Athletics. Also, it is important to choose Chaotic Neutral as your alignment and pick Cayden Cailean as your deity of choice.

Before we go into which feats you should select as you level up, we advise you to multiclass with Witch so that you can get Lizard Familiar, Transformation, and Iceplant.

After you cap Feyform Shifter at level 20, move on into Ranger – Demonslayer as a Legend (or go with Fighter – Mutation Warrior, depending on your personal preferences).

Mythic progression for the best Feyform Shifter build

For First Ascension, you can choose Close to the Abyss and use Master Shapeshifter as your first Mythic Ability. At level 2, you can go for Power Attack (Mythic), add Ever Ready and Arcana 1 at level 3, and choose Mythic Critical/Claw at level 4.

The abilities you select from level 5 onwards don’t make much of a difference, so go with whatever makes the most sense at the moment.

Gear for the best Feyform Shifter build

The best weapon that you could go for in any melee Shifter’s case is the dagger Hasty Eradicator with Enhancement +3 and Finesse Wielding. In your quick slots, you can keep Lucky Dice, the Signet of House Vespertilio, and a Triceratops Statuette.

When it comes to armor and useful accessories, here are our suggestions:

  • Amulet: Amulet of Agile Fists
  • Armor: unequipped
  • Shirts: Bestial Rags
  • Belts: Belt of Physical Perfection
  • Bracers: Paws of the Bear King
  • Boots: Ronneck’s Sacrifice
  • Helmets: Headbands of Wisdom, later Hat of the Bitter End
  • Glasses: Broken Trickster
  • Cloak: Cloak of Resistance
  • Rings: Ring of Triumphant Advance and Ring of Guiding Star
  • Bracers: Bracers of Animal Fury or Bracers of Armor
