Kilowattrel is one of the fastest Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet. Combined with Timid nature, its Speed of 125 can go even higher, and with the right moves, this Electric/Flying-type turns into a formidable opponent.
You can find Kilowattrel on the north, east, and west sea coast of Paldea, or evolve it from Wattrel at level 25. But what are the right moves to look for when evolving it? Here is all you need to know.

Kilowattrel learns Electro Ball by evolution, and its effectiveness leans heavily into this Pokémon’s speed. If your Kilowattrel is faster than your opponent, this move increases damage in proportion. Considering that Kilowattrel is one of the fastest Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, this can be a significant advantage for you.
Thunderbolt (TM 126) has a Power of 90 and an Accuracy of 100, and comes with a 10% chance of paralyzing the opponent. You can craft it after fighting the Team Star Fighting Crew.
Using Hyper Beam (TM 163) leaves you immobile in the next turn, but the power of its attack (Power 150 and Accuracy 90) can sometimes be enough for a one-punch-one-kill scenario. Get this TM move on the smaller island (in the group of two), close to the coast of the East Province.
Volt Switch is a move that Kilowattrel can learn by leveling up (at level 43) or with the help of a Technical Machine (TM 048) that you get after beating Iono in Levincia. Besides some solid damage (Power 70), this move allows you to switch Kilowattrel with a waiting Pokémon and provide that useful pivot that might help you win.

In addition to these moves, the abilities and Held Items equipped might make significant difference in how it performs in battle.
We recommend that your Kilowattrel comes equipped with the Wind Power ability, which boosts the damage of an Electric-type move that comes after being hit by a Wind move. You can also equip Wise Glasses to boost the special moves’ power.
