A great new week for iOS gamers worldwide with a ton of great releases! Amazing premium, as well as free to play games have been launched this week and we are here, as always, to highlight the best of the best: the games that you must play this week. And I can only hope that you have a lot of free time on your hands, because there’s a lot of them available!
This week’s top releases include amazing unexpected hits like A New Life, Lifeline: Crisis Line or Riff Racer as well as better known titles or franchises such as Lumines Puzzle & Music, Samorost 3, Street Fighter Puzzle Spirits or He-Man: Tappers of Grayskull. As you can see, there are more games that usual on this week’s “best of” list, so let’s not waste a single second: let’s find out more about them below!
A New Life
We already shared the news about A New Life, my top pick this week. It’s an impressive life simulation game that’s all about the choices that you make – choices that not only affect your current life, but future lives as well. A very interesting concept that’s extremely well executed – a game you’ll love, so click here to download it right now.
Lumines Puzzle & Music
A music puzzle game with synchronized music and visuals – this is the official description and it doesn’t do any justice to the game, which is absolutely amazing. You might have played its bigger brother on the PSP, but even if you did or didn’t, you should still give it a try. A really unique experience is waiting for you! Click here to download the game on the App Store.
Street Fighter Puzzle Spirits

Street Fighter is getting the Puzzles & Dragons treatment, and it’s a nice treatment that it’s getting. A great game for those who don’t mind mixing match three mechanics with the popular beat ’em up. We have the well known characters from the series, great retro graphics and good free gameplay. Give this title a try here.
Lifeline: Crisis Line
A dead lawyer, a mysterious green-eyed woman, stolen crystals with unexplained powers… and it’s only your first day on the job! You’re a HelpText volunteer, and the app has just paired you with Austin homicide detective Alex Esposito. Dive headfirst into a dangerous investigation as you help Alex untangle the bizarre circumstances of a recent murder.
I know that text adventures might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but if they are, then you are in for a treat. Worth trying even if you haven’t played such a game before as this one is really, really well made! Click here to download and play right now!
Riff Racer
Do you remember Audiosurf? It was that game which allowed you to race on tracks built upon your own music library. Well, Riff Racer is basically the same thing, but well integrated with iTunes. Not only that it can access your music and create race tracks based on the songs that you own and love, but there are also playlists specifically created for this game on iTunes. A pretty unique experience, no matter how you put it. So click here to download and play right now!
Super Powerboy
Another game that we’ve talked about already, this one’s a great platformer with an interesting hero and jaw dropping visuals. The gameplay is a bit slow at times, but it’s still worth the ride, at least for the graphics. Click here to check out the game.
Samorost 3
A new brilliant game in the series that probably doesn’t need any introduction. If you haven’t heard about this series yet, do yourself a favor and give it a try, especially if you like adventure titles and thinking outside of the box. Click here to download the game.
He-Man: Tappers of Grayskull
Darkness looms over Eternia. The evil Skeletor has unearthed an ancient sorcerous stone that allows him to turn anyone, including himself, into giants. Using vile magicks, Skeletor enlarged each and every member of his nefarious force to GARGANTUAN proportions. It’s up to you, He-Man, to put a stop to this unspeakable evil! A fun endless tapper for fans of the genre. Or He-Man. Or both. Click here to get the game.
These would be our top picks for the week and I am sure you will love playing each and every one of them. Or at least most of them. If you’re extremely picky or if you simply have more free time on your hands, click here to check out last week’s recommendations.
