Let’s face it, Elden Ring isn’t the easiest game out there. If you haven’t played a Souls game before, you must be receiving quite the beating from the game’s insanely difficult gameplay, and specifically, the bosses.
So, in order to make your time just a little easier, here our guide on the three top classes in Elden Ring for beginners.
Best Starting Classes in Elden Ring
Wretch
Firstly, let us talk about the Wretch. At first glance, players tend to not take this class very seriously, as it starts off with giving you no sort of armor, with only a Club to defend yourself with.
That being said, you start off with ten stats all around. This, in addition to the fact that you start off at level 1, gives you much more space to grow as compared to other classes. While you may be worried that you are more vulnerable than any other class out there, you will also start finding new weapons and armor pretty quickly.
Prisoner
The Prisoner happens to be the more beginner-friendly Sorcery-focused class from the two present in Elden Ring, the second being the Astrologer. The Prisoner is more geared towards beginners due to their starting equipment.
Knowing how to efficiently use spells has quite the learning curve, which is why the Prisoner having access to a Sword from the start benefits beginner players greatly.
Confessor
Being a melee and faith-oriented class, the Confessor is great for players who plan on going into Elden Ring solo. Thanks to their high Dex, Strength, Mind, and Faith stats, they can use a variety of weapons as well as Incantation seamlessly, from the beginning.
Elden Ring is anything but an easy game, and the Confessor’s ability to have multiple healing options and a solid melee loadout makes them a top contender for beginners.
