The new BitLife content update introduces the musician career path. Pick up an instrument or sing your heart out with the latest update, and become a famous musician! Today’s guide will focus specifically on becoming a singer, which is arguably one of the hardest careers to chase down in BitLife. Prepare yourself, as this is a doozy!
Start your Singing Career Early
Like the beginnings of many successful careers in BitLife, it all starts with you being the nicest kid ever. During your early life you’ll want to be on your best behavior as you’ll need to rely on your family for a lot of things.
You can start taking vocal lessons as early as age 8, so make sure to do that. You can find them in the Activities tab, under Mind & Body, all the way at the very bottom of the list.
Normally these lessons cost you money, but taking them when you’re still a child will mean that your parents will pay for them… only if you’ve been good. Just like martial arts classes, your parents can refuse to pay for them if you’ve been bad at school or ungrateful to them. Be nice!

Refining your Vocal Chords
Once you take a voice lesson for the first time, you’ll see your skill bar increase. This bar increases every so slightly with each class, but beware – there is also a chance that taking a class will decrease your skill.
How do you know if a class will will help or hurt you? You don’t, sadly, as it all seems to be completely random. This is perhaps the hardest and most frustrating part about becoming a singer, as you’ll need to take vocal lessons over and over again until your skill bar gets high enough.
The thing is, even if a class is successful your skill meter will increase very slightly. To have any chance of being recruited for a label, your voice skill needs to be at least around 70%.
Basically you’ll have to hammer the voice class button over and over again until you’re ready to become a singer. How fast this happens is completely random, so just keep trying.
Do note that if you’re an adult (past 18 years old) each class will cost you $255, so make sure that you have some kind of work. You might as well study something at university and get another job while you work on your vocal skills.
Landing the Record Deal
Once your voice skills are high enough, you’re ready to for the real deal. Whenever you’re ready, head into the Job tab and scroll down until you see the Special Careers tab. You’ll find the Musician jobs listed here.
Tap on Solo Artist, and the game will ask you for your career type. Choose singer, then you’ll have to choose from one of the three record labels: Krypton Records, Liquid Entertainment, or Vulva Studios.
Go ahead and pick whichever one, as it’s all random anyways. If you don’t succeed with one, try the others. If you fail with all three record companies, then that means you need to increase your vocal skills.
