Bad Santa Challenge Objectives

  • Be a Male
  • Become Santa
  • Be depressed
  • Burgle 10 times
  • Shoplift 10 times
  • Tell a child that Santa isn’t real

Becoming Santa

To start out, ensure that your character is male. Choose anywhere you want to live as it doesn’t matter. Your first order of business is to become Saint Nick himself, and the way to do that is to age up and keep checking the part-time jobs.

The part-time job you’re looking for is Mall Santa, and this has a random chance to show up. The older your are, the higher chance of it showing up. Additionally, you may be rejected if you’re too young. If this happens, simply age up until you’re middle aged, around 50 years old. Make sure that you’re not famous in any way, as this prevents a lot of the lower end jobs from showing up.

Becoming Master Thief Santa

The next objectives you should knock off are the stealing ones. You can access them from the Activities tab, then go to Crime. Burgling a house can be tricky but is mostly up to skill – you have to scoop up as many items as you can without getting caught by any dogs or home owners.

Keep in mind that you can’t just burgle a home and then immediately head for the exit, as this won’t count towards the objective. You have to make sure to pick up at least one item before you leave.

Be very sure not to get caught, as this can make completing the challenge a lot harder. If you do get caught, force quitting the app seems to send you back to before you committed to anything, giving you another chance.

After you complete ten successful burglaries, you can start shoplifting items. You’re given a list of randomly selected items with varying prices. We choose the cheaper items every time thinking that you have a lower chance of being discovered, but again if you’re caught you can always do the force quit trick. Complete ten successful shoplifts and you’re set.

Bring Sadness to the World

Finally, it’s time to cover the world in sadness! First up is to become sad yourself, which is pretty easy to do. The simplest way of tanking your happiness is to apply for prestigious jobs that you know you don’t qualify for. Every time you’re rejected, you lose a bit of happiness. Repeat until you’re depressed.

This also applies to your love life as well. If you’re getting random opportunities to flirt with beautiful people with high stats, try to go for it – if your stats are too low, they’ll reject you and drop your happiness too.

And the last objective requires you to tell a kid that Santa isn’t real. This one requires a little bit of luck. As you’re approaching your elderly years, you may run into an event where you meet a child at an orphanage. You’re give the option to tell them that Santa isn’t real, so do that. If you’re getting too old and you’re scared something bad is gonna happen, you can wait until an event happens and if it’s not the right one, you can force quit to reset the event.

And that’s it! The Bad Santa Challenge should now be completed, so go ahead and tell all your friends what a horrible Santa you are! If you have any other tips or tricks for completing this challenge, let us know in the comments below!
