This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Bloodstained Ritual Of The Night has been released a few months back on Nintendo Switch as well as on other consoles, and this version of the game managed to be the most successful of all, despite the many technical issues that are plaguing the game. The development team is working on fixing and improving this version of the game, and they have recently revealed some new details on how the game will be improved.

According to a new update that has been posted on the game’s official Kickstarter page, the Nintendo Switch version of Bloodstained Ritual Of The Night will be improved by replacing certain visual effects that affect performance with others that don’t impact frame rate too much.

One of the things the team is doing now is going through the game and identifying visual effects that are slowing things down. Where possible, we have optimized or replaced effects with ones that aren’t as impactful, but visually look the same.

Additionally, the developer is also working on improving input delay, stability and more. The developer sadly does not yet know when the update will be released, but it has assured players that things will be improved considerably.

It’s a shame that Bloodstained Ritual Of The Night on Nintendo Switch runs poorly, as it is an extremely good game. This new Metroidvania title has been developed by none other Koji Igarashi, the creator of Castlevania, and it shows, as the game feels a lot like the latest entries in the series, like Castlevania Symphony of the Night and the GameBoy Advance entries in the series. If you love Metroidvania games, don’t pass on this game.

Bloodstained Ritual Of The Night is now available on Nintendo Switch as well as on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
